After months of waiting, Pleasure Beach, Blackpool finally opened Nickelodeon Land yesterday after a weekend of previews. David ‘The Hoff’ Hasselhoff of Baywatch and Britain’s Got Talent fame was on hand to open the new £10m attraction.
The new family area takes the place of Beaver Creek and retains some of its attractions. The Avatar Airbender Zamperla Disko is the centrepiece ride.

I disagree that the Disko is the centrepiece ride. Surely the centrepiece is Splash Bash, being the first ride of it’s kind in the world?
Quite possibly… I guess only time will tell! I think the Disko has a greater appeal simply due to its size and presence in the area. Spongebob may not be quite as popular on those cold November mornings! We shall see!
